THE INSTALLATION OF A NEW 48-PAGES LITHOMAN IV WEB OFFSET PRESS IS NEARING COMPLETITION
In the web printing plant in Cernusco Sul Naviglio (Milan), the installation of a new 48-page long-grain Lithoman IV press is almost complete. With its four printing units and fully integrated control systems guaranteeing the very best quality, the new Lithoman IV will improve the speed of production and efficiency for printing catalogues, magazines, brochures and books.
There will be 7 commercial offset presses active in the Cernusco plant, as the new Lithoman IV will join other 4 Lithoman presses (80, 64 and 2 x 48 pages) and two KBA 618 presses, which are already installed in the premises.
In addition to the 7 presses installed in Cernusco, Rotolito’s total production capacity also includes 3 sheetfed offset Koenig & Bauer presses, 3 Timsons, 2 digital HP web presses and 1 HP Indigo 12000 digital press installed in the Pioltello plant. There are also 5 sheetfed Heidelberg presses and an HP Indigo 12000 digital press located at Nava Press (Milan) and 2 Cerutti rotogravure presses in the Nova Milanese plant.
This new installation is part of a larger plan of investments scheduled for this year worth 20 million Euros, involving not just the Cernusco plant but the other Rotolito production sites as well.
“We are constantly focused on the continuous technological renovation of our facilities,” says Paolo Bandecchi, President of Rotolito. “In this way our international customers - publishers, trading companies and luxury and fashion brands -can benefit from a simpler supply chain, relying on just one Print Service Provider that can supply them with a vast range of products, with the guarantee of top quality and service.”
“With this new installation we will be able to accept a larger number of orders and complete them more quickly,” adds Paolo Bandecchi. “It also ensures quick and efficient service, which in turn allows our customers to put their products on the market more rapidly.”
